guitar no sound when connected to amp

I think that my guitar has been damaged as when it is been connected to the amp, there is no sound coming from the amp. The guitar wire was alright so i think there's some prob wif the guitar. Can help me solve this and tell me where to get the cheapest repair?

Check the following things... may seem obvious but sometimes we forget and it happens


1) Main power switch (the 4 plug connector etc, see got on the plug leading to the amp)
2) Amp power switch (the one you use to on/off the amp itself)
3) Amp volume knob
4) Input jack into amp
5) Input jack into guitar
6) Guitar volume knob

If all else fails, borrow a friend's guitar and amp and see which one works with each other lor

yup i tried le..i everything is connected and when i switch another guitar, it work. So i think is the guitar prob. But it was quite random. Sometime after a very long time of turning the wires, plucking it and out, it may work, but its not the wire prob.

its the part where u plug your cable into, almost all guitar shops can repair that. try davis?
