Guitar neck joints

hey guys,
ive been looking at guitars lately and ive come across the set-thru joint.
i looked on the net and forums state that most of the time it is just a set-neck joint but wikipedia says its a "deep neck joint".

can anyone shed some light on which one is right?

I think both is correct. Maybe a deep set-neck through joint? :p The neck is supposedly long like those of neck-through methods, and is glued on(thus the set-neck) inside a deep pocket like the bolt-on guitars has. Generally this method combines the different methods of joing the neck and the body of the guitar.

thanks :) that clears things up a little :D
i was looking at ESP and half their LTD models have set-thru joints and i was confused about what it actually was :/
thanks :D

I think manufacturers have their own way of making a set joint. hence all the different terms. think les paul. think more sustain. well, supposedly. varies from guitar to guitar.
