I have just acquired the use of the Behringer (Active) DI-100. Technically the cabling up is pretty straightforward but this is where I draw a blank. I'm left-handed hence the in-eptness of my left brain.
I have my Edwards LP hooked up to my Vox Tonelab LE which in turns is hooked to the DI-100. From the DI the signal is balanced out the house system and also the "Link" on the DI is (lastly) cabled up to my guitar amp, a Peavey Special 130.
Without the DI-100, I would have my Tonelab LE set on AP2 (if direct to G/amp) and it goes out to the Peavey, and then miked to the house.
With the DI-100, I have the Tonelab LE set to Ln1 or Ln2 (if direct to house). But I get pretty sharp sounds from the Peavey. I was under the impression that that "Link" would give me what I hear from the house. But it does not and the manual confirms that, saying it bypasses the house, i.e. the Vox is going straight to the Peavey.
I know I can spend time tweaking the amp so that it reproduces what I get from the house. Before I do that, I thought I consult those of you who have such a setup. Need not be a Tonelab LE, though. I suppose if you have a similar setup with a MFx, your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!
