Guitar Maintenance and Stuff

Hey there, I just got an Epiphone Dot and I was wondering if I need to put one of those packs with silica gel in them into the case to keep the guitar dry. Also, where to get them? Anything else I should take note of?

By the way, where can I find bone nut for electric guitars?
