I got go through the Teacher Available in the private section and I got big shock.
$10/hr guitar lesson many many all over the place.
Sing and strum guitar lessons also many many all over the place.
Free also got.
People who advertise, do they really know how to play or not.
If just memorize and play play a few song then want to teach, better don't lah.
If like that Ah Kow, Ah Long, Ah Seng also can teach.
If want to learn how to sing and strum, I go youtube also can learn somemore the instructions in Youtube some very good ones.
I know I sure kena flame one, but cannot believe my eyes and feel must say something hor.

Guitarmad : welcome to soft, you do sound like one of the guitar teachers who's displeased with the market spoilers. if not, the best way is to check credentials and real life testimonials of the teacher's students as well as proper legitimate certification.

aiya spoil market? nvm my rate still $30 per hour no matter what, still ok what still got ppl learn from me, $10 per hr nvm let them be doesn't affect me

Just very very suspicious one of the ah kow, ah mao, ah seng guitar teachers in the net.
Sekali ask to play twinkle twinkle little star on key of C also don't know, ask to transpose twinkle twinkle little star using circle of fifth also don't know. Only show off sweep picking and playing same riffs over and over again. This type of play hor is called muscle memory not musicality. Ah Kow, Ah Long, Ah Seng if practice repeat and repeat many many times alos can do sweep picking one lah. The student oso later know only sweep picking, always must need guitar+ amplifier. If give them acoustic guitar, don't know how to play because no effect to cover lousy playing, must always have amp. Then how to teach?

Agree... That's their problem.
Teachers have to have a very clear lesson plan, but student must also know what they want to learn. It takes two hands to clap, imo. I had a fantastic teacher. Sad to say i'm nowhere close...
