Hi everyone,
I'm offering a range of guitar lessons. It can be an individual or group of 2. There will be 4 lessons in each month. Each lesson is 1 hour. Notes and guitar will be provided. It will be conducted at Pasir Ris.
Below are the lists of lessons available:
Beginner Contemporary Guitar (Acoustic)
- The parts of the guitar
- The names of the strings
- Proper right and left hand technique
- Tuning with an electronic tuner and by ear
- Finger exercises to build up dexterity in your hands
- Read guitar tablature and chord blocks
- Basic open chords
- Two simple strumming patterns
Course Fees: $120 per month (individual), $200 per month (group of 2)
Intermediate Contemporary Guitar (Acoustic)
- Minor seventh
- Suspended chords
- Three simple strumming patterns
- Barre chords
- Major and minor scales
- Keys and key signature
- Simple strumming techniques
- Diatonic and harmonic intervals
Course Fees: $140 per month (individual), $240 per month (group of 2)
Advance Contemporary Guitar (Acoustic)
- Pentatonic scales
- Two chords
- Major 7th chords
- Minor 11th chords
- Simple chord substitution
- Advanced strumming
- 16th notes
- Seventh chords
Course Fees: $180 per month (individual only)
Beginner Fingerstyle Guitar Course (Acoustic / Classical)
- Playing position in fingerstyle guitar playing
- Finger exercises to build up dexterity in your hands
- Ability in reading music and notes
- Simple finger patterns
- Developing motor skill control of fingers
- Fingerstyle technique
- Merle Travis fingerstyle technique
- Scales and arpeggios
Course Fees: $120 per month (individual), $200 per month (group of 2)
Students who are interested in taking certified ABRSM examination can do so after the course. We got a certified teacher to teach you.
Beginner Blues Guitar Course (Electric)
- Blues scales
- Minor pentatonic with blues notes
- Blues chord progression
- Blues form
- 7th chords
- Movable 7th chords
- Learning to hear the I, IV and V chords by ear
- Improvise riffs based on chord shapes
Course Fees: $120 per month (individual)
About my music experience, I attained Grade 10 Pop Music Performance Grade Examination by Yamaha Music School, Grade 2 Classical Guitar and Grade 5 Theory of Music by Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). I also have 6 years of teaching experience.
