As for my lessons, I don't categorize students into beginner or advanced because I believe the essence of music is to just play, with other people or alone. Everyone has to start from somewhere and continue from somewhere. The way I teach is to ensure that the students know what they are doing instead of just going up and down the fretboard without thinking.
