Guitar lessons and luthier

Hi

Looking for some help please. I am looking for a good, experienced guitar teacher suitable for someone who can play reasonably well but wants to improve - i.e. not a beginner. I currently play mostly acoustic and want to improve but also want to learn more about lead guitar. I live on the East Coast and would prefer lessons at home. Anyone out there who fits the bill or good recommendations?

I also have some quality guitars which I would like to have set up, pickups added, etc. Which luthier would you recommend. These are good instruments and I have already had a bad experience in Singapore which I do not want to repeat.
