but yes as the topic says, i've got a dilemma on what guitar to get atm.
i WAS thinking of getting an RGX A2 to modify the tone and volume knobs. which i thought would be pretty sweet since the only thing i didnt like about it was the knobs.
the thing is i own a variax 700, i like the versitility but i need a REAL guitar if you know what i mean. i've always wanted a telecaster since dunno when. which makes me feel like buying the yamaha is a waste, because even if i buy a yamaha rgxa2 i will still want a telecaster.
no offence to squire lovers, but im not looking at squires atm, im trying to look at maybe japan or mexican made fenders, my budgets around 1k? so yeah, i managed to get a pricing on a custom made tele by guitar connections, i know the owner so im able to get it at a real cheap price. 1.3k was quoted to me. i wanted the raw wood look on the body, and he's throwing in one original tele pickup and another 2 pickups. plus an orginal tele neck. he said it'd cost someone else 2k + if it wasnt me so yeah.
but still, i was thinking if i wanted to resell the guitar, would be difficult since it's custom made, because i have the mindset that everyones the original american fenders or at least mexican and japan.
Is there anyone who can help me out by recommending nice fender teles?
i've heard that esquires were awesome, anyone know the pricing?
Any recommendations on what pickups are good?
i mainly play rock and blues so yeah. opinions and suggestions are welcome.
