Hey guys, can anyone introduce me some easy to understand books for guitar which can help me improve on both theory as well as technique?

Thanks!

Generally the books i've encountered either teach only 1 or the other. Technique-wise, there are many many books out there, but not all are suitable for you. Best to go to a music bookstore and spend time moseying through the available books to see which ones you like best. Alternatively, Youtube videos do a great job for technique, given you choose the right ones.

ah yes...i agree with firdaus...guitar techniques is loaded with so much lessons that if u were to learn all of them, u wouldnt really have time for a teacher lol!! the good thing is that they explain their lessons as u go along. though u would need to have some basic knowledge on ur own 1st. some of their explanations require some thinking on ur part. also the good thing is they classify their lessons according to difficulty level :D

Yup, what I meant was seperate books for technique and theory. What I usually see at bookstores are music scores though, rarely would I find books on guitar...

You have any examples of youtube videos which are good at explaining techniques?

I would prefer books to magazine though, as I feel that books usually give in depth explaination. Need to bring them in to camp to read as I'm currently a stay in NSF and need to make full use of my time!
