Hey erm...im thinking of upgrading my gutiar but not sure wad to get....really dono....wana try out humbulkles. but saw the ibanez..2 HB and single coil? not sure....hahaha im just a Noobie la...how bout 2nd hand fender strats? budget below 600

its some crappy cort guitar...i got it together with a 10watt yamaha amp from my fren for 100 bucks....(the time i was desperate for an electric) haha

btw they r spelt as humbuckers. i recommend an ibanez. with that amount u can get a pretty good guitar. do look around n always let ur ears and fingers make the final decision. :D

ibanez looks great from the outside...and sound good from the inside...pretty gd choice for most ppl

How abt something 2nd handed?

My lead guitarists uses lots of 2nd hand stuff and they really rock =)

Can check up Guitar 77 or Guitar Connection for good n cool 2nd hand stuff =)

Ooo how much do they really cost? and where are these shops? heard quite good stuff and really lousy things bout 2nd hands...

The shops which have a good collection of secondhand stuff are mostly at the excelsior shopping centre basement. That's next to peninsular shopping centre, in case you're not familiar with the area. Now that so many guitar shops have congregated there, it makes it good for us to browse around and compare easily.

Prices depend on model, age, and condition... better go with someone who might be more familiar with various guitar brands and models, cos they sometimes have alot, especially Guitar Connection.

ya...luthermusic also had moved there...davis is also there...so its really a great place to check out the guitars and compare the price there..

good part about second hand? price is usually very much cheaper than a brand new unit.

bad parts? it may be carrying diseases such as warped neck, cracks, poor wiring. sum of which can be righted with spending a little more money to fix and sum r totally irreversible. seems like de cons outweigh de pros.

so ill always recommend buying a new guitar tt way ull own it in n out n sumhow love it more. kinda like more sentimental value. if ure really serious about guitaring, its alrite ONCE IN A WHILE to spend on high quality gear unless ure friggin rich n can afford to change guitars like underwear. ahaha. hope this helps.

anyway i recommend ibanez cos its an awesome guitar. versatility in terms of tone. bridge is troublesome but sumwhat extremely versatile. killer looks if u get de right colour, n not to forget de signature small neck. compare it to gibsons/fenders n ull noe wat i mean.

www.ibanez.com :D :D

ah... not always true. sometimes u still get bad setups on new guitars... depends on where you go to.

if u visit a shop like guitar77 or guitar connection, ask the shopkeeper what faults there are/were on the 2nd hand guitar, and how it was fixed etc. I don't think they'll hide the details on purpose. Let him know you need the info or u can't evaluate (and hence buy) the guitar :)

Yea...i have been looking at Ibanez guitars....but not sure wwad to get...the RG series looks pretty within my budget off below 600.... but....erm.... wad r ure views?

i recommed the following Ibanez models as they are devoid of cumbersome floating bridges:

RG321
RG321BKF-1N-04.jpg

SZ320
SZ320BK-1B-01.jpg

the SZ is a piece of work, it's not a typical thin-necked Ibanez but a set-neck model with lots of sustain & a slightly shorter scale-length.

gee that rg321 looks kinda nice. Was contemplating on getting an LTD m50 but i guess that rg is a prettier sight for a fixed bridge guitar. nice!
hey subversion would ya happen to know the prices of these 2 fixed bridge ibanezs?
