"Independent Malaysian rock band Deserters hit town for a rare Singapore show at the Lion City music den The Prince of Wales, unveiling a new line-up and playing songs from their forthcoming debut album Goodbye Oblivion.

"Also set to rock & roll POW's wooden floorboards is Etc - a Singapore-based drums+guitar duo with unique heart-on-the-sleeve songsmithery & off-the-cuff sonics that they call 'Psychopop'."

Go 'Wow' at the powwow going down at P.O.W. It's a double-header doozie of a Saturday night derby when two top beat combos take bilateral ties to a new level with livest and most loaded original rock n' roll those in the know could hope for. A 101 in what's really going on? Right on!

Independent Malaysian rock band DESERTERS are the star attraction for the night's rock action. Led by UK-indie alumnus Zack Yusof (ex-Jennifer Fishpond, Fast Boyfriends & others), these northern souls cross the Causeway for a rare Singapore show, unveiling a new line-up and playing songs from their forthcoming debut album, 'Goodbye Oblivion'.

Opening the show: Etc - the Singapore-based drums+guitar duo who are the sole exponents of 'Psychopop' - a unique blend of heart-on-the-sleeve songs and off-the-cuff chronic sonics that's won them fans across the world.

'Air Asia... so much to answer for!!!'

Message from Deserters:

Hello everyone..

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but here goes. Due to unforseen circumstances i.e the bass player getting marooned in East Malaysia until Sunday, Deserters will not be appearing at the POW tonight.

However all is not lost as this means that the mighty Etc will be delving into their big-assed songbook and playing a longer than usual set. These guys have to be seen to be believed to get there early and enjoy.

Once again on the behalf of Deserters, our sincere apologies for the late blowout. Hopefully, we will be back to rock the Lion City sooner rather than later folks!!!

Take care,

Zack
