good guitar recommendation?

do you have any particular preferences? say jumbo frets 24 frets etc.

i'd personally recommend the SA260. i got mine at 600 buckeroos(after the discount).

hmm.. 24 fret is a must. i dun kind mind fix bridge. anyway, i was thinking of the PGM3, but its not fix bridge.

is it value for money?

You might wanna try Ibanez RG series. I'd personally recommend the RG350 as its quite a hell of a unit for its price. Its 850, but 714 after discount. Has everything to suit your style of playing, 24 frets, Edge III floyd, looks cool too.

hmm then that rules out the SA260. yeah its really great value for money. it has 22 medium frets though..

i used to lust over that PGM3. looks really sexy. hah!

why limit yourself to ibanez? brands like schecter could fall into your price range too.

also, u might want to explore the up and coming less known brands. many of these "cheaper" guitar brands are offering much better value for money nowadays. take a look all around. don't limit urself, as said by nunob.

Also consider where its made. Seriously, theres no doubt made in China goods have a noticable QC difference than MI Korea (or anywhere else) for that matter.

yea the PGM3 is sexy, the white one. wow the more i think abt it, the more i Gian it....

or maybe should i go for 2nd hand ibanez?

The PGM i thinkis going for 675 at Swee Lee right now. ALso saome Schecters at guitar77 and luthermusic. One of those has got to have 24 frets.

Just wondering... I have heard Rg on distortion which sounds tight and great but how does it fair in the clean section? Is there any Rg that sounds nice clean and on distortion?

despite the killer look, the PGM3 sports a dismal floating vibrato bridge (ILT1). if you don't whammy, the RG321 is a more sensible acquisition. if you do, then get at least an Edge III equipped Ibanez model.
