Going Analog

I want to move away from MFX (digital) and go analog. Firstly, I find myself using the Chorus effect, some crunchy tones, the usual lead soloing tones, British metal sounds, blended with delays and reverbs.

Right now, I have the MFX hooked up to the PA system and also out (from the MFX) to a guitar amp (clean) for feedback. I would like to stay this way with the analogs as well. I do have Behringer DI.

I was looking at the Wamplers - and they certainly sound better. But I would end up poorer by at least S$1,000 or more to replace the above. Then I thought about the TC Nova System. That would be nice as it is analog but given MFX treatment.

What do you think? I am willing to part with the $$$s but with words from the wise here, first!

Why do you need to switch from MFX to Analog if you know that you will be losing a lot of money?

the m13 and nova system are one of the best sounding multi effects.. i wouldnt suggest moving over to single stompboxes if you're happy with what you have!

If you want versatility, go with the Nova systems, or maybe a Pod rack, like X3 Pro or something. It'll definitely be better especially when you hook up to PA systems.

Would I miss out on the amp modelings? Which is better? With the Nova System, mic the Peavey Special 130 I am using now, or go straight to the PA?

I started from analog pedals and now i ended up with only my Nova system, mxr phase 100 and fulltone OCD. =D. Nova system is definitely a good investment but the drive suck damn bad.

Do you use any Wah or Volume pedal with the NS?

Nope. I don need those. U can actually get an expression pedal to adjust those parameters u want. like Pitch, volume and delay etc etc. almost all. simply fantastic pedal.
