Hi all,
Does anyone know about Glendale Guitars? Any experience with Pine-bodied guitars? Glendale appear to stock up guitar bodies of Teles and Strats made up of Pine wood and assemble that with Maple/Rosewood necks much like the early Fender times in the 50's to 60's.
Pine is more resonating than Ash and Alder as I know but fairly easy to get a ding or chip during minor accidents. Pine is not as hard so it tends to behave like Alder or Ash 'chambered' body during normal guitar play.
Though I think that Pine may be the 1st choice of a guitar body, but in terms of durability I guess that is where ash or alder make up for the next best tonewood.
