Hi Everybody,i just wanna inquire if there will be a Gibson guitar sale just like a fender one,as i'm sure many people will be wondering and also wanting it to happen. Also,i also want to know if there will be other upcoming sales throughout the year?? Please reply
Thanks For your time.

they wouldnt tell you even if they had a sale. if they told , people would wait till the sale to get their stuff so thats not good for their business is it?

is there a need for us stop wondering if there is a SALE of one nature & expecting another?

no disrespect to the threadstarter of course, but doubts of this nature would breed confusion & disrespect.

But the SALE is not really a SALE - disappointed with the sale -
Jack up the price - after 50% still consider normal as compare to online store..

Hi Guys.
To clear some air here, our Retail List was never jacked up during the sale before conducting a 50% off from it.
That would be quite an unfound statement as far as I can see it. :)
Most of our Retail Price increase (during normal seasons) equates to cost increase.

Retail List price are often suggested by brandings itself for the dealers to work on. Thus we are not allowed to 'jack' prices as and when we feel like it as that would just jeapordise our business rite? ;)

Most online stores on the other hand will always be cheaper then the retail side (even in the U.S), however, if you weight it, you exchange the chance of these following for a cheaper price:

a)Trying out the gear and feeling it (which is very important in my opinion)
b)Speaking to the technicians or luthiers and having the gear set up to your comfort
c)someone you can go back to for any problems

Hope that clear some doubts here and happy shopping with Swee Lee! :)

Will Up the post for more Great Events to come! ;)

I agree that ppl should be prepared to pay more for a) and c), and that a) in particular is an important step in buying a guitar, and I believe most mature ppl would. I think the bone of contention is with how much more ppl have to pay. I have nothing against SL, I'm just clarifying the common consumers' concern.

btw, which luthiers are present at SL? Ryan did a great setup job for a strat I bought there prev, no doubt, but he didn't mention that SL had in-house luthiers as well. It would be cool if SL had them as a value-added service! :)

I do agree with it.

I dun mind buying at swee lee.
As i am allow to walk around the show room.
And most importantly to feel and see their guitar.
Testing sound!!!

Where online stores some wont allow such things.
As you buy one item is that one item lol.

Both got their good and bad. Ha,

Love both ways!!

It's always our joy to have a customer walking out with a gear that he/she feels absolutely happy about. :)
We do have some good crews that does good setup (quite subjective as to who is better, it depends the understanding of both parties..).

But One of the highly proposed personnel in our downtown showroom:
Md Noh (Bras Basah) - Technically Trained for Electronics, I've got my guitars rewired by him and I would say his circuitry work is NEAT!!
Careful with Neck/Nuts & Saddle setups with a strong understanding of why the problem exist before solving it. Likewise, thats very important in my opinion.

For minor setup, Ren & Adam are available as well.

In our service centre, we have a very experience Technician: Nasir, who does various of setup, remedy of broken necks etc (though there would be a limit one can do to a broken neck). Nasir also has more then 30 years of experience repairing Brass & Woodwind instruments. This is also one man that Softies who plays trumpets or Saxophone can speak to regarding their instruments.

This service has been around in BB Showroom for years but it basically just goes around via words of mouth or per enquiries within the showroom...
So feel free to drop by and speak to us if you've got a problem with your gear! ;)

As for pricing wise, your concern is ours as well. Speak to us if you find that the comparison of prices are huge, we will look into it, rectify it within our means or provide an explaination for the huge difference (if there is..).

Best person to speak to in our downtown showroom: Adam.
He handles most Special Orders in Bras Basah too. :)

Thanks for the good reply! :) Sounds like SL is moving in the right direction with respect to our local market!

some of swee lee's practices have been in place all along, it's just that people are more perturbed with negative services rather than giving credit when credit is due.
