Hi guys, just wanna check, how do u differentiate gibson pickups from one another? a friend of mine passed me a couple, but i dn know which is the brigde n neck..and the output..is there a way to check? thanks! :)

there are no diff between them. unless they are of diff models. placing a same pickup at the neck area and the bridge area gives u diff sound

ya,theres a few pickups actually..but he accidentally mixed them up..different models..so now..sian!!
gotto find ways to differentiate liao..Thanks anyway.

There is a way , bro.
The bridge ones has got larger spacing for the poles as compared to the neck.
Put both pickups facing up and compare the length of the poles end to end.

just measure the output with an ohm meter.
if its a proper set, then the bridge should be the hotter one.

some sets have both neck + bridge with the same exact pickups, ie. gibson '57 classics like in the SG '61 reissue.
so here u cant differentiate them using pole spacings nor wire lengths.
just stick either in the neck or bridge and its fine.
