Gibson factory got raided...

You're right, and I think it was a similar issue as well. Gibson were using some forbidden woods and etc.

Ah, now Indian Rosewood is an endangered species?
Henry may well release Maple fretboard Les Pauls for NAMM.
Hold on to your Les Pauls folks, soon they gonna be made of sawdust and superglue. :)

So now you cant bring your gtrs across borders without the proper paperwork?
Otherwise you'll risk being fined or have it compounded!

BTW, I tot Homeland Security deals with terror threats. And yet they raided Gibson.
Must be some 'killer' gtrs in there LOLs

The one raided Gibson was the Fish and Wildlife Service, which enforces the CITES treaty, and is under the Department of the Interior. The US Customs Service is under the Department of Homeland Security, so technically, the enforcement of not allowing guitars with the forbidden woods into the US does come under their jurisdiction.
