Hi people, I was wondering what is the best amp for playing metal and is it possible to get a good amp under $150 cause i'll be spending lots on the guitar. Also, what's the difference between a Ibanez RG370 and a PGM ( the white one) and how much is an Ibanez RG370? I don't know where to check prices in Singapore..

Advice: Spend more on a good amp. Maybe a Bogner or something like that, cause the amp is much more important.

As long as the guitar sounds decent, stays in tune well, is nice to play and you like how it looks, you don't need to spend lots on it. It's hard to get a below-$150 amp that'll have a good metal tone, so I'd say just use a basic amp, and get a compact multi-effects processor which should have the tone you want, plus some effects to make your solos sound nicer.

Of course you can also try some pedals, but to be honest I'm not a fan of pedals.

For mine, I have a Marshall 15 watts practice amp, and I use a boss metalzone, but getting a good amp will be a better choice
