Event from 2pm, music from 4pm.

Back by popular demand as part of the PoW's St PATRICK'S SUNDAY SESSION.
Started in 2001 as an Irish traditional band Gan Ainm (Gaelic for "no name” ) have over the years broadened their repertoire with a few more modern Irish numbers and some Scots tunes and songs to become Singapore's premier Celtic band. As dynamic as an acoustic band can get, their music is bursting with energy and enthusiasm with all four members being not simply musicians and performers but fun-lovers too!
Paul Hannon (vocals; bodhran), Alexander Gow (vocals; electric and acoustic mandola; fiddle), Nev Smith (tin whistles; occasional saxophone) and Miles McLean (guitar; vocals) are the current incarnation of a band that has performed regularly at events including The Mosaic Music Festival, The Asian Gaelic Games, The Singapore Cricket Club’s Rugby 7’s tournament and the Touch of Tartan festival, as well as separate concerts at venues such as The Esplanade, The Tanglin Club and the British and American clubs. They have also had a continued relationship with both the St. Patricks Society and the St. Andrew’s Society in Singapore, playing at AGM’s, Burns Nights and other functions, as well as having provided the entertainment at functions hosted by The Irish Ambassador to Singapore on occasion.
No longer simply traditional, Gan Ainm’s music is a mix of genres and styles but all with a Celtic personal touch.
