Ranking sells the rubber practise kit by LAZER about 250 last time and now the sales person said it is about 280 already... BUT, at ezimusic.com, they are selling away a REMO 5 piece practise kit equivalent for 250... the heads can be taken apart and u can DIY ur own electronic kits with piezo and stuff... just need a braing...

here's a link: http://ezimusic.com/Drums Accessories/5 Pc Training Kit.htm

cheerios!!

erm may i ask this kit no snare?

its a 5 piece kit practise pad which means everything is the same its just a pad with foam inside... they will be positioned in normal position snare tom1 tom2 floor tom and bass...

i think you can check with nigel.. i remember seeing the practice pad the first time i entered his shop. yup

i was thinking about modding it to a full electronic kit too.

But I cant find any cheap full practice kit.

Thanks anyway!

nigel only sells the pad which is for practise... single piece and not a piece which is for modding to a electronic kit... the practise pad nigel sells is simply reduced bouncing and it'll be a good practise with it and once u play with the acoustic ones, u won't be heavily dependant on the bounce effect the snare and other hardwares give... the peace 5 piece kit is somehow the best equivalent to REMO 5 piece tuneable practise kit lah.. try asking them..

Hi, anyone have any recommendations for pratice kit?

the remo one seems good, but its doesnt have the pracitice cymbals.

I hear the lazer one is very loud? XD

thanks man

erm ask you all ar, the pratcise pad good anot? how is the rebounce? very bouncy compared to acoustic drums? im looking for something have less rebounce or about the same as acoustic, and also must be quiet. lazer are noisy? hmm. I have little space, so the peace pratcice appeals to me. I have a budget or 500, any other better ones out there?

oh, but the traveller kit is small but still bigger compared to the practice pad , i got very limited space so i guess practice pad is the only choice

what about the thomas lang remo practice kit? been looking for that one for quite some time, posted a thread on it too but didnt get any leads. i found one on ebay, but didn't go for the bid.

all remo practise kits are the same, some people complained about it being tuneable and sounds quite loud. i suggest you email ezimusic to ask for availability of the peace practise kit and check it out if they have it. If not than u have to order from them and buy it.

hmm, all remos are pretty loud? I think i just give a skip then, my house have a 3 weeks old infant :( are there any quiet ones? i know mesh is great, but im sharing room with my brother. lazers ones are pretty loud too?

Try the e-pads. I am using a 12" e-pads and a bass drum e-pad at home and I have an 5 month old boy who loves watching me practice. I am subtly trying to make him like drums (against my wife's wishes, hahaha...)

Good luck!
