Does the Asus site have the latest drivers? Yes - better than the one on CD.
Is the STX truely 24-bit, 192 kHz? Yes ,for both playback and recording, I think.
Bit perfect? Yes, if your player can handle it.
A 'real' headphone amp? Yes.
What DAC & ADC does it have? Burr-brown pcm1792a, playback; Cirus logic (can't remember the model), recording.
Can I record in analogue? Yes, into the single 1/4", stereo jack. Great quality.
