1996 Fender Richie Sambora Black Paisley Japan Limited Edition
If you're looking at this, you probably already know that this is a beautiful and great guitar.
This guitar is specially made to commemorate fender 50th anniversary back in 1996 and are limited to 200 pieces worldwide, and around 15 of these were lost in a fire and others are badly damaged.
Most of the sambora black paisley on sale don't have the 50th anniversary sticker on the back of the headstock, this one DOES!
The pickups have been upgraded with set of custom made HSS SLIDER'S PICKUPS.
I personally ordered this set from Rod (slider's pickups) himself, the single coils are his Vintage '59s with a little bit of "twist" to make it sound closer to SRV character.
The humbucker is his 59 PAF with 2 wire to make it easier to install in a strat, a "strat ready" humbucker rod said.
His 59 SSS set are priced over $300 and the PAF set over $400, and this HSS set is the best of both world.
I currently use slider's vintage white pickup covers, but will change back to the stock black covers if the buyer choose so.
The guitar sounds amazing, has great playability and beautiful to look at - a perfect combination for guitar. It's in GREAT CONDITION with minor surface scratch and weather checking in the finish.
The neck is straight as an arrow and the truss rod works. The original frets are leveled with NO BUZZ and low action.
Aside from the electronics upgrade, ABSOLUTELY NO MODIFICATIONS and NO REPAIRS ever made to this guitar.
I will include a japanese leather softcase in the sale from early 1980s.
Price is 3500 USD..
