Hey FL heads out there I have some questions, this is my first foray into FL. I just got my hands on FL Studio 8 Producer Edition.

So what is the standard procedure for creating beats? Do you use samples, or synthesize up drum sounds on your own? If samples where do you guys get them from?

I recorded my own drum samples using a h2 recorder then process and tweak it to create my own drum set.
