You can ask Master John Thompson (http://www.silkqin.com) to help you to buy a silk strings Guqin from China or HongKong. He is living in Singapore as of Nov 2011.

The quality of the guqin is guaranteed to be good as Mr Thompson will select it for you. He helped me to buy a JunTianFang guqin from Beijing, and airfreight it to Singapore.

You can purchase any Guqin fitted with silk strings from Taobao.com via www.SGShop.com.sg

But you have to ask the Shipper to make a wooden crate for the Guqin (with the Guqin put into a hard case inside the wooden crate) before sending it out. Otherwise it may get crushed by other items during shipping.

I have also purchased 5 sets of Guqin silk strings by using www.sgshop.com.sg
