12 channel configuration to meet a wide range of mixing requirements- from schools, churches and small clubs to theaters, concert halls, and other large-scale sound-reinforcement applications. 4 stereo input channels which are ideal for adding stereo program material to the mix.
Switchable A/B Inputs
All mono input channels and stereo channels 1 and 2 have dual inputs that can be switched directly from the console panel.
3-Band EQ with sweepable mid-band
The shelving controls roll off at 12 kHz and 80 Hz, while the mid-band controls provided precise boost to cut centered at any frequency from 250 hz to 5 kHz. An EQ switch is also provided so the entire EQ section can be engaged or bypassed as required.
5 Auxiliary Sends
Five auxiliary sends on each mono input channel give the MX400 series consoles plenty of signal-routing flexibility for even complex applications. Auxiliary sends 1 and 2 are pre-fader, sends 3 and 4 are switchable for pre- or prost-fader operation, and send 5 is post-fader.
Pre-fader Listen Switches
The PFL (Pre Fader Listen) switches on each input channel make it easy to monitor the post-EQ pre-fader signal from any single channel or group of channels without having to mute all other channels or change control settings.
Master Auxiliary Send Controls
Auxiliary sends 1 through 5 have independent linear master level controls which adjust the overall send level from the corresponding AUX Send jacks.
Stereo 2/Monitor Fader
For convenient monitoring an independent monitor fader (ST2/ Monitor) is provided in addition to source-selection switches that let you feed the stereo buss signal, the PFL/ AFL signal, or the signal from the stereo "2 TR" inputs to the monitor outputs.
Talkback Controls
A talkback microphone jack, assign switches, and a level control facilitate communication between the console and performers or other personnel.
Tape in and Rec out Connectors with Level Controls
-10dB Tape In connectors and a level control directly feed the stereo buss, providing a convenient way to add background music, sound effects, or other stereo sources to the mix.
Assignable Level Meters
Accurate visual level monitoring is provided by 6 11-segment bar-graph type level meters with Peak Leds. Meters 3 and 4 are switchable to cover output groups 3 and 4 or the stereo 2/monitor signal. Levels on the main stereo buss are displayed continuously.
