hi there. im considering a new flying V or X-plorer, both replicas, same price, quality, only the body shapes are different, can anyone tell me how i should choose, like which guitar suits what style, more for solo or rhythm. thanks.

both can handle rhythm and lead well, its more on the player and his tone, so you should decide on which one you are more comfortable with

Which are you getting? The Epiphone 1958 Goth Flying V or Explorer?

i see, thanks.. eh im getting a santa fe one. cause its cheap about 350 only, gold plated humbuckers, neck and body latched on and free bag.

umm alright, i guess i will get an epiphone, sg/flying v/x-plorer/les paul. haha. thanks for your suggestion. by the way. anyone knows when is sweelee sale.

epiphone? be careful ah..later they give u PLYWOOD..

btw check out syu from galneryus..he does amazing things with his ESP explorer..juz search 'galneryus' at youtube..

hey bro i play a epipone explorer and it works great for me but im not too sure about santa fe tho..lousy workmanship and crap quality.

its very eeasy to play on the higher frets on the explorer and comfortble while sitting down..flying V looks good but explorer looks GREAT! haha.

choose you must my young padawan..the explorer,it must be!

check out the pics of my explorer on the gib,epi thread.

btw i bot mine for 570(after discount) was 750 :D

cool, i think i will get an explorer. i heard it has a fuller tone than flying v. because of its larger body. i think i will probably get an epiphone if i can afford.

yeah man..get an explorer guitar...its super-duper-keduper nice...and of cos sound wise you have to select a pick up of your own...

my recommended choice is : ltd explorer with emg pickups...
yeah..! rock-my-socks...! :D

if you intend to get the LTD line of explorers, i recommend the 400 series if you can get it. Comes already loaded with EMGs and plays nice & smooth

its kinda a safer bet compared to dodgy epiphone axes imo - 2 piece mahogany body + 3 pcs maple set-neck

here's mine :P

dont forget to get a thick leather strap, explorers with the strap button not located behind the neck tend to neck dive a lot.
