Floyd Rose Question

Im nw using a floyd rose guitar and set up is tuned to full step down tuning ... so if i wan to change tuning hw? i don wan go set up again or transpose the tabs

One way you can do is to use something like a wooden block to block the trem bar of your floating bridge. Something like that, http://www.trueguitar.com/tremblocking.htm.

But what i did was to block both sides of the bar, so its totally unmovable. Thus you will get a fixed bridge guitar.

i mean the songs i play have different tuning . if i change the tuning.. the floyd rose will run out of place...

Yeah its cool, but be careful when working with the springs, its bloody hard to put back in haha.

As you say you play @ diff tunings, it's always best to get a 2nd or 3rd guitar.

Yeah & it's cool to have more guitars,I use my Floyd Rose Fender for standard tunings,my IbanezRg for Dropped C tunings & my bassist Fender Obey guitar for Dropped D, it's like having alot of girls

I got problem with floyd rose too. but mine is a different problem.

U know the springs at the back, are there any different tension springs?

I used 2 springs at the back and i use string guage 8. its nice to play with the floyd rose.
but when i use string guage 9, 2 springs is makes the hard to play around with the floyd rose (dive bomb etc). but 3 stprings is harder.

are there and springs that have less tension so that i could use 3 springs?
i hope u get what i mean.

Diff string gauge same tuning? Then your bridge will bend forward. You can try to lower your tunings to ease tension.

there are different length springs n different position to put... i suggest u go do a guitar set up... since u change gauge ... the floyd rose will go out of position...

Different tunings? get another guitar, theres no way to change the tuning on a floyd without the bridge going out of the centre position.

it is possible you know, maybe a different string gauge? Then adjust the screws behind. Somehow. Lol.
