Fitting a GK-3 Pickup on an Ibanez RG 570/ selling it and also selling Digitech GNX 4

Hello

I would be in Singapore between June 3, 2011 and June 15, 2011 for a holiday.

1. Can someone advise me on where I can get the Roland GK-3 Midi Pickup in Singapore and if anyone could help me to fit it on my Ibanez RG 570 (1999 Made in Japan model) (photo of my Ibanez guitar is attached for reference (on the extreme right-mustard colour)?

2. If the GK-3 Midi pickup cannot be fitted on my Ibanez RG 570 model, then I would like to exchange my Ibanez for a suitable Ibanez guitar on which the GK-3 Midi pickup can be fitted. Can you suggest any shops in Singapore that exchange guitars/ purchase used guitars and stock Ibanez guitars?

2. Could someone please let me know how much would be the exchange value of my present Ibanez RG 570 electric guitar? I think the replacement model for the RG 570 is the RG 1570, which has the same pickups. The RG 1570 is selling for about S$ 2000 at Swee Lee and about S$ 1550 at some other shops. Here's the link for the RG 1570: http://sweelee.com.sg/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=1_17_178&products_id=1041

3. I also have a Digitech GNX 4 guitar effects processor (photo attached). I wanted to sell that and purchase the Digitech GSP 1101 rackmount guitar processor. Which shops would have the Digitech GSP 1101 in stock and what would be the exchange value of my Digitech GNX 4 processor? A new one is selling for about S$ 1750.62 at Swee Lee.

The reason I am asking for the exchange values for the Ibanez RG 570 and the Digitech GNX 4 is that if the values are good, then I would bring those with me to Singapore and purchase the new equipment after exchanging the old equipment otherwise I would try and sell them in India itself.

Thanks
Prash

You can get the Roland pickup from Swee Lee.

Your present value of your RG570 varies between $900 - $1200 and also dependent on condition and market demand. If you are able to sell your guitar within a span of 12 days, I say you are one lucky chap.

Exchange values on the other hand is only applicable for stores that buy in 2nd hand goods. Let this be known that shops will not offer you a good exchange value solely because they also have bills to pay on top of making a profit.

If India has a better market, just sell your gear there. You can have a rough idea of market prices after browsing through the classified section of this forum.

Hope that helped.

Thanks

Hi Relinquish69

Thanks a lot for your replies.

I don't want to sell the Ibanez RG 570 if the GK-3 Midi Pickup can be fitted on it. So I'll try Swee Lee for the GK-3 and then get it fitted on my guitar. If for some reason the pickup can't be fitted on my guitar then only will I look for an exchange with a new guitar.

I guess its better if I sell the GNX 4 guitar processor in India itself. No point carrying such a heavy unit to Singapore.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers
