Hello, Isaac here. I am 20 years old. I play mainly fingerstyle guitar and do some singing too. I am more of an all-rounded guitarist, and I perform quite often in my school too.
To give a brief info on what I teach:
For beginner players:
-Basic chords
-Right postures
-Tab reading
-Tuning your guitar
-Finger plucking / pick
-Strum and sing
-Reading standard notation (if you wish to)
-Learn the notes on the fretboard
For intermediate players, you will learn how to:
-Bass+Chord+Melody playing
-Song Arranging (Acoustic)
-Alternate tunings
-Chords substitution
-Fingerstyle techniques such as back-hand playing, guitar body percussion, slap, tapping harmonics, etc.
-Play by ear
-Songs composing
-Music theories
I focus on mainly fingerstyle guitar, but I can also teach you the ability of play by ear, that you can pick out chords from songs by listening, and therefore more independent to tabs or music scores. I will teach you guitar playing and some music theories along your learning process, so you will be more versatile and able to improvise and even composing. You can request to learn a particular song if you wish to.
Do take note that if you wish to learn to play by ear, it needs sometimes to develop and to train your ears.
If you are unsure of what is fingerstyle guitar, its a way of playing acoustic guitar, that you play the melody, accompaniment, bass, and even percussion simultaneously. Some artists include Kotaro Oshio, Andy McKee and Tommy Emmanuel.

To be honest, I just starting to teach, but I have been teaching my friends informally, but they do become a better guitarists. To make a great start, I charge $15/45 minutes for beginner and $20/45 minutes for intermediate player. Having your own guitar is preferable as we can play together and you learn more. You also get to practice at home after every lesson, your progress will be much faster, and you saved $$ in the long run. I am willing to teach as long as you practice.
The lessons will be conducted at NYP (Yio Chu Kang), or at your own place (preferably around central area, eg Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Yishun, Dhoby Ghaut etc.) for additional charges. If you are interested and have questions please don't hesitate to contact me. You can PM me your contact number and e-mails, and we can work out the details. I will reply you in 24 hours, I kind of hooked to SOFT 24/7. Alternatively, you can drop me an e-mail at fish4690(at)gmail.com, or SMS me at 9352(one)46(one) too.
