Anyone own that guitar? Whats the wood for the body huh any idea?

Basswood? its made in jap mmm

say... if i put in 59 and jb. both seymours. will the sound be warm and thick?

or only mahogany can do that? mmm

Hmm... good question... but in my opinion, don't think so...
if not, any guitar would sound like a lespaul with those pickups already.

the warm n thick tonal characteristics of lespaul comes mainly fr its wood, rather than pickups

So what u recommend for erm basswoood to go with. pickups that is. to give out the fullest tone. like the warmest and thickest tone that i can get.?

dimarzios?

Hmm... tt's like the most subjective question...hehe...
maybe one good way is see which artist's tone u like... then we start fr there?

i personally find basswood guitars very rewarding for pickup swaps. it's the most transparent wood for guitar bodies & lets the pickups' inherent tonal qualities through with minimal interferance.

the '59 & JB would do a good job in there, provided it's what you wanna hear from them. for a 'fat' tone, you'd do well to check out the Hotrails, which posssess parallel tonal characteristics as its menacing sibling, the Invader. i have it in my Tele depicted here & it'll pump out booming bass to cover bottom heavy genre (metal) as well as smooth low end for fusion stuff. however, do note what stillwater said about the guitar make & its association with the tone generated, you need a certain constructional quality to be able to produce a certain tone, pickup is just an ingredient to the equation 8)
