Fender Precision Bass – Classic Series New ‘50s , Looks like ’57 Road Worn but NEW!
Reluctant to let this go, bought it on impulse. But have to let it go, it’s a nice piece to keep.
It’s a Fender P.Bass Classic Series, Mexican 1957 PBass 4 String Fender (Fiesta Red) Upgraded to Original USA PBass PUPs + Chrome PuP covers + Gold Anodized Pickguard.
Also available Original Fender Tweed Vintage Yellow C&G Hardcase with Dark Red interior to enhance the beauty of this ’57 P. Bass look. At additional cost.
Some details pertaining to the P. Bass – Road Worn(New)
The Pbass is actually a standard issue delivered from USA. It's MIM. I bought from a good friend in 2009 brand new.
He had it made to look like roadworn by a luthier . The work is very nice & good. Pickups changed from Mexican to American PuP's. Once you see the PUP's you will know immediately that it is like a MIA. So now the sound is warmer.
The pickup cover and bridge cover and thumb rest is also original fender. And the anodized gold pick guard is also fender making it look just like a 1957. The standard issue body and shape is modeled after '57 so same some work on the body. Lastly the C&G case tolex with red plush interior will make it vintage 100%. .
BTW, Just a note on the P. Bass. It's not made in 1957. It's actually an MIM fender bass purchased brand new from the USA. Then upgraded to MIA original fender PuPs + Gold anodized PG+ road worn & set up.
The case was purchased specifically to match the time frame and look of the P. bass.
A popular music store after being bought over by a millionaire and lowering much of their prices is selling it for $1,450, without any modification or any pickup or bridge cover . The bass is in Prestined condition.

Fender Tweed Case
New Fender Vintage Tweed Case (Red Lined). This Fender Tweed hardshell case features a red plush interior, large accessory compartment, protective ends, and a genuine Fender logo. It fits a Strat, Tele, Jazz Master or Jaguar right-handed or left-handed. Model 099-6103-400 is made with leather ends, brass hardware, leather handle, and Fender logo.
