Fender Japan and Swee Lee

Hi all,

I've been out of the gear business so long i've got a rather lame question to ask. Do bear with me as i'm doing research for MIJ Fenders.

Does Swee Lee carry them? Since when? Bcos i've never recalled them ever carrying the Japanese Fenders. American and Mexican for sure, but never Japanese.

Hiya!

It's not a lame question as it's quite a confusing topic! We do carry a couple of MIJ models - but only specific ones like the Richie Kotzen Tele and certain Mustangs that are officially sold and supported internationally by Fender.

Candidly - we looked into the other parts of the line because it was offered to us but it wasn't really that exciting in the end - on quality and other disadvantages - some being that because it is not supported outside of certain dealers in Japan it is difficult to get hold of from an official source, there is no parts/warranty support and from the batch we were offered we actually spotted several fakes which is a big NO-NO for us!

Hi, thanks for the replies! I'm helping someone with a deal, and he claims his Fender MIJ Strat was bought from Swee Lee 8 months ago. I never knew Swee Lee carried MIJ Strats so i wanted to check. So now my suspicions are aroused, hmm.....
