hi anybody knows well abt jaguar or jazzmaster?? juz wandering how dose switches works, i know its for switch btw parallel & series PUs. but how does parallel sound? how does series sound?

since it got all dis parallel series connection, can i change the stock PUs to normal PUs??

i lookin 4ward 2 buy jaguar special with 2 MIJ dragster humbucker. its going 630USD @ music123, after shippin shd be ard 1.1k sing dollars.

1) u might find it cheaper
2) the dudes are ishibashi are quite nice people , once read about someone asking them to restring and use a different guage and they did it FOC for the dude. changing of stock pups i dun think they will do but no harm asking

hi stars, initially i was going after MIJ gunmteal blue fender jaguar JGS-78. the color looks very nice in fenderjapan.com , but wat i saw @ ebay was diff.

fenderjapan.com the gtr looks like very dark blue(kinda black blue). but the 1 i saw in ebay is kinda like normal blue(kinda cobalt blue)

anyway i going after the 1 i saw @ music123, its ard the same price & its black with silver chrome knobs. 2 bad i dunno howda post pix here :lol:

heard sum rumors abt ishbashi dat they will ship B grade gtr to unknown buyers. unless u know ppl there den u will get the standard gtr....jus a rumor :wink:

anyway i wanna find out more abt the switches on the jaguar (parallel & series switches)

My opinion is don't change them to actives if you have the parallel/series switch there, the passives can give you much more tonal options... 8)

i think the jaguar in this finish is just absolutely drop dead gorgeous

hmmz i m not too familiar .. if i were u , i ll just go down to ANY guitar shop and ask the guitar tech. most places (especially) online shops i dun think they will change stock pickups for you

i recommend going to guitar77. they carry fender jaguars from japan and they have a nice candy apple red one right there now if i m not mistaken. can ask them whether isit possible to change the pups. and btw. guitar77 sells fender jap stuff at fender japan list prices + alittle more for shipping and currency conversion. ya might wanna take a look there. i tihnk its about 900-1k last time i asked

1) they supposed to deliver the guitar to you in stock condition, any modification made by them voids the warranty . IT also makes a helluva big legal issue lets say something go wrong during delivery or if the job din do well... alot of grey areas , they cant do a proper stock reimbursement from fender and u cant exchange back lets say if its defective.

2) most online shops are merely distributors especially if its the case of modifications. its likely that most of em have workshops / technicians that can do it , but unless they know u personally or u bring it down to repair, chances are , they will reject it. I THINK, its again due to the legal ramifications of that lar...

yea, i may not wanna chg the PUs if its good enuff. i juz wanna find out if the jaguar can fit normal PUs. juz too bad i cant try the gtr b4 buyin. its all base on the gtr's looks & my instinct.

If you want it badly and fast, you can order straight from Ishibashi. Took 3 days to get my baby to me. Email them for quotes

If you don't want the hassle of credit card payment, lack of post-purchase services (like setting-up...which you'll definitely need to do to get your Jag to work perfectly for you), Guitar77's the way to go I guess

And for the 'rumour' that they ship 'Grade B' guitars to unknown customers, I don't think it's true. At least it didn't happen to me...
