Fender got certificate?

Does fender guitars comes with certificate of authencity like gibson?
Jus wondering cos jus bought a made in usa strat from guitar77 and forgot to ask uncle dennis whether got cert or not.

nope most Fender guitars don't come with a certificate unless its a Custom Shop or Limited/special Edition model. I'm not so sure about the American Vintage Reissues but I know the American Series and American Standard strats have no certificate. However, commemorative models like the 50th Anniversary Model do have a certificate. I think the same goes for Gibson, no Cert for Les Paul Studios, Standards or Classics but the Les Paul Custom (which is no longer a production model but a Custom/Historic Model) comes with a cert. Special models like the Smartwood Model come with a cert.
