abt ibx competition held last year

hi mr soft..i was 1 of the finalist frm last year ibx competition..just need to say dat it was quite dissapointing event held..1stly it was drag too long,2ndly all the finalist was not even given a kinda souveniers..mayb a cert of participant..3rdly..we were not given much exposure here in the site..and after the comp..like wat some other finalist frm other event had...

Sadly you should have brought your gripe over to the organisers of the event.

As a participant, you should find out who is in charge to speak to. And should have asked about such things during the event itself. Afterall that is said and done, what is done cannot be undone.

Hope you have become wiser, and know what to look out for next time. No one will spoon-feed you when you grow up.

i understand your disappointment. i am sure you and your band put in your best and had some great time performing. not many people know the hardship that goes behind every band. i mean, all the practising, getting gigs, relationships within and outside of the band ...

I had a thread somewhere about band competitions. Let's revive the discussion and see how organizers can learn from the feedbacks of participants.

I share the same thought as James that dissapointments should not dampen one's quest towards excellence in music. After all this is only one event out of so many. Getting into the finals is already not easy, and I believe your band must have a certain standard to reach there.
