Female Teacher with 11 years of teaching experience is accepting private students (6 yrs old & up) at beginner and intermediate levels!
I have an Associate of Arts in Performance (Drums) accredited by Los Angeles Music Academy (LAMA), Caifornia.
Lessons are conducted 1-to-1, ONCE a week and will include proper techniques of playing, how to read music and playing drumbeats and songs.
Genre wise I will start from rock and can move into other genres like funk, blues, jazz, latin in future.
I am flexible in catering to how different students learn and adjust my teaching methods accordingly.
Proper techniques and syllabus from LAMA will be incorporated into lessons.
Moeller techniques and group sticking approach to expand your playing vocabulary will be taught at intermediate level and above.
I've taught students as young as 3 years old and adults in their 40s.
I have previously taught in various secondary and primary schools as a percussion instructor.
I have 15 years of playing experiences in symphonic music, rock, jazz, funk, originals.
My experiences of working with singer/songwriters can help you learn how to develop songs, adding drumbeats and percussion to them.
Prior to returning to Singapore, I have been gigging actively in Southern California music scene as a drummer and percussionist/background vocals.
I also teach xylophone/glockenspiel and hand drums to kids and adults to encourage creativity and bring out the rhythm in them!
Lessons will be held in town , Holland Village or at student's home.
