all these signature pedals r jus money making gimmicks!! i bet there's not much difference at all when placed side by side w a normal phase90.. well it might turned out to be much worse.. given the kind of quality they r churning out these days..

Evh probably never expect that the design on his cheapo frankenstrat turn out to be on everything. Latest victim, pedal.

Some folks over at HC efx forum are saying that this sig phaser is just a old mxr phase 90 with a R28 mod. The R28 mod has been a old mod for normal phase 90. Seem like dunlop took the idea, add a bit of variation(thus the added script button) and came out with this....

Yeah, zakk wylde pedal, sd-1 with some variation again. Funny thing is, over there, whoever ask about sig pedal, most of the time, it always get shot down...

As for the z.w pedal, there was a picture of joe satriani on stage and on his pedalboard. There seem to be a rather similar looking pedal on it.....

i'm sure somewhere in psychology theres this like subconcious thingie that goes like if "yngwie uses it, and he can shred....so if i use it, i can shred too!"

guess in guitar gear, using famous name does help in pushing the sale. But whether can the people who buy the pedals, get the tone they want, it seem to be another thing else. Leaving the tone aside, basically it shud be all about $.

I mean if the person IQ is very low, then that would be probably true. At least there's a nice blue LED for this pedal.

The EVH phaser definitely looks cool... i always try not to go for signature stuffs. Why pay more for the name. Now, i thinking of ways to make my JH-1 unsignature. :lol: Anyone any ideas? I'm thinking of putting a fasel inductor and paint it like a picasso art work.

I think I can paint slightly better than that. It looks like they used spray paint cans.

i think spray cans used on things masked with masking tape.....doesn't really look good...gives it fuzzy edges...

how would you paint it ? paint and brush ?

or some stencils with those spray on glue then spray paint ?
