In the mid of 2008, Singapore’s live music industry welcomed an uprising band named Ocular which was formed by two childhood friends, Alexis Joshua and Nicholas Sharma. Both of who had been playing music since the tender age of thirteen. Influenced by the different styles the two musicians had, Ocular mixed a fusion of pop/rock, top 40’s and mainstream music into their own style and feel which explains why many have come to appreciate the four piece band for their rather unique repertoire.
By early 2009, Ocular quickly moved into the scene and boasts a vast number of fans and supporters that had became great personal friends of Ocular. On stage, Ocular never ceases to amaze the crowd bringing life into any club while creating a cozy and carefree ambience. In short, they never disappoint. Ocular currently performs at:
• Sunset Bay Garden Bistro
• Home Club on Wednesdays
• Hog’s Breath Café CHIJMES
• Lot, Stock and Barrel Pub
• Barracuda
Ocular’s 4-piece line up is:
• Alexis Joshua (aka Joshua) on Bass guitar
• Nicholas Sharma (aka Nick) on Lead guitars and Vocals.
• Noel on Drums
• Donna Marie on Vocals on Weds and Fri.
