Etc is honoured to be invited to this - but after so many local greats, it'll be interesting to see who is left standing/sitting by the time Etc play.

Etc will be crossing the Causeway (or Second Link) for the last date of their 'November Reign' series where will celebrate the non-release their album 'Chinese Democracy Etc' - an already-fabled, off-the-cuff recording that Axl Rose selfishly didn't want to see the light of day.

The Etc duo of Ben & Harvey recorded their album live and fast in September. Two musicians, one afternoon and no earphones. The plan was to release it immediately and call it 'Chinese Democracy'.

This was in contrast to a famous American act who were continually delayed in releasing any new product for many years. However, shortly after Etc's plans were announced, Guns n' Roses finally confirmed that their album - to be entitled 'Chinese Democracy' was really going to be released this time. And it since has been. Etc are glad of this. They didn't like the title much anyway.

The Sallys would be launching their album too on the event!

Sallys are really unique. When people talk about 'local music' they tend to mean bands that happen to be based locally. But the music they play doesn't necessarily sound 'local'... but Sallys DO sound 'local' like Force Vomit, Pinholes, Serenaide, Boredphucks.... er, Heritage.

Long live Sallys!
