mxr m-108 or the boss eq pedals... have tried both and they do what they do well

Yup those 2 stated above are the average here. If you have more to spent, there's a GE7 Sniper Mod or BJF Electronics Sea Blue EQ.

you can get the m-108 at sweelee, lists for slightly more than 300
