U can see Epiphone at rear side of pups...
Epiphone never use Gibson pups...

notice the words 'modelled after'?

and you're wrong about the not using gibson pickups part.
some japanese epiphones use real gibson pickups.
the korean epiphone tony iommi SG uses real gibson pickups, ie. iommi signature model.
the korean epiphone joe perry boneyard LP uses real gibson pickups, ie. burstbuckers.

Yes some Epi use Gibson pups..
But most use Epi pups...

I never seen Japan Epi with Gibson pups.
They use just Epi pups...

And Boneyard use Gibson Burstbucker 1 and 2...
I know..

But this guy asked about just Epi Custom(3Pups)
So I answered like that...

Nowadays...
In Korea just make Epi Signature and Custom...
Custom with Epi pups..

the other models is made in China...
with Epi pups...

I think Japan Epi and Epi Ellite is different with them..

And I can`t speak english well...so sometimes very difficult to understand..

hey guys. okay ive found out. thanks anyway. for those who want to know

''The Epiphone Les Paul Black Beauty has a very elegant and classic look. It features 3 humbucker pickups with gold pickup covers. The Bridge pickup is a Alnico Hot Humbucker with the middle and bridge pickups Alnico Classic HB's. The three humbucker pickups are made to Epiphones specs and are double dipped in wax to reduce microphonic feedback. They have a rich creamy tone with plenty of output.''

Everdying, its not very true that duncan designs do not sound like the duncans they were modelled after. It's really a matter of luck. As the QC is not as strict/tight, the quality varies. if you get lucky you can find a duncan design pup that sounds very close to the real deal.

Regards,
Ken
