Epiphone Les Paul Classic/Custom/Standard Plus

Ow, that day I went to Swee Lee BB and asked one of the salesman why isnt Epiphone Les Paul Classic/Custom/Standard Plus on sale. He said Classic/Custom/Standard Plus are only available for Gibson Les Paul models. However, through the Swee Lee website, it is stated that these models are available. Thats very very strange ... You mean those models are only for 'Online Buyers' ? Thats rather sad. I have also been to Swee Lee Sims drive outlet many many times and had never seen some of the models they displayed at their website.

Another thing ... Any of you guys had been to the Swee Lee's Store Wide sales last few years? I'm just wondering if they sell only 'display guitars'.

From the PM i got from Swee Lee, the Epi LP Custom is retailing at S$950.

Maybe it's just out of stock? Not sure bro..

They just had Epi LP standard/custom/classic.

LP Custom is super heavy. But the gold hardware matches very well with Heritage / Black body.

Get a signature model lah ... at least not so heavy.

got weight diff meh? I went to see the Nicke Limited Edition LP Custom and it looks the same as a normal custom, only diff pups and design only. I think same la.. haha!

I only know LP Custom is very very heavy. And LP Standard/Classic is lighter.

But Classics and Standards have really poor workmanship. I just bought one today at Sims Drive. The necks ... omg, still can see glue one. Best to get a Custom ba. Haha.

Btw, the stock strings on an Epi LP is a guage 9 right ?
Any idea ?

i also got a Custom during the Swee lee aljunid Sales, but compared to my craftsMan les paul custom copy, the epi custom is lighter.

Yes i agree it's very heavy.. mine is 4.5kg exactly.. Sometimes i wonder how did they build the guitar to weight exactly at 4.5kg... *backpain* :roll:

i'm very pissed at swee lee buggers lah.... they are so unprofessional.... i checked out their webbie to check out the price for the epiphone LP spcial ll player pack... and it cost S$469.80 w/o GST.... when i called to enquire, they said it was S$ 640..... i told him their webbie said its only 470.... they said that one before GST.... wahhhhhh GST is 136%+ man.... not satisfied with their explaination, i emailed the BB branch and enquired.... and it seems that it only cost S$493.50 with 5% GST (which is standard in s'pore)
