out of the three..i would say LP custom..
but i think its better to get LP stardard though..much cheaper..unless u really go for the sound that the custom have..which is just slightly better than the stardard..
zakk's guitar is definitely not suppose to be in your list..trust me..i have that guitar..yes its good..but not worth 1.2k at all..

by the way..i not really sure about what u mean by "value-for-money"
u mean u wanna buy and sell it later? or u are buying it to play?

i may sound like a broken record but here goes:

with regards to Epi LPs, get the one you are most comfortable with + good sounding, regardless of the model. unlike the Gibsons, there aren't any marked differences between the models to deem one comprehensively more superior than the other. best if you can spare the time & try as many as possible, acquire the one which is best for you.

my vote goes to the LP Ultra. i've recently tried the Plain Tops- very good value for the asking price 8)

I secretly love my standard more than my custom... For the Elitist series, you might as well save some more and just get a Gibby.

hey! my vote goes to the LP ultra too.
after seeing ALL the reviews by sub on the various epi LPs, i'm totally in love with the ultra for its
curved back portion,
reduced weight,
and satin finished neck! (glossed necks are something i really dont dig)

give it a shot :)

My vote goes to epi lp custom cause i own one and love it to bits.

Since u can afford the elitist, i suggest you get an edwards lespaul or 2nd hand Orville lespauls or if youre lucky, 2nd hand Gibson lp standard instead. check out orangeguitar.com.

Personally, if i had a budget arnd an Elitist LP retail price, i would get an ESP eclipse instead. (though its tone may be quite diff frm LPs)

im for the lp custom, the elitist is superior in terms of workmanship, and can be even better than gibsons, for a lower price. do NOT flame me, its my opinion.

reason im for the custom is cause well, i use one and i couldnt be happier about it. only gripe is the stock pups need work, like major work. after that was done up, it plays like a dream. been using it bout a year plus now. and not looking back.
