Released this year, is the new line of Spector basses for the starting bassist called the Performer Series. They bear the same quality control of Spector basses but without the flowery artwork. Still, the metallic red looks very cool.
At this $550, they are one of the most playable and versatile sounding in the market. Will easily last the starting bassist 3 - 4 years before he /she gets GAS. Or will serve as a reliable back up bass as well.
