Electronic music Anyone?

Hi there!

Wonder if anyone here has a thing for producing electronic music? Im using Ableton Live to do some tracks. Still trying to fully utilise it though.

Would be great if there is a group and meet ups, we could learn from each other also.

If you have soundcloud or what not, please share it here!

Hit it in this thread

Thanks!

I'm into electronic music as well.

But electronic music has diverse sub-genres below it.

I'll just say I love synths sounds. Be it analogue or digital.

I'm a hobbyist computer musician. I use mainly Fruity Loops for creation.

I do not play any musical instruments. Nor have I have lot of music background.

I started the hobby last August.

Here's my soundcloud dumping ground: http://soundcloud.com/zeroxmxi/

Cheers to electro music.

Lol I wish I did this for a living. Very chill house tracks you got there.

And Zerox you sure you don't have music background? :p The tracks sound quite raw but there's some great ideas in there

Some of my older stuff done 1999-2002. :)

Strange and Vast Landscapes of Frozen Nitrogen Sea (Ambience/Drums&Bass 2002): http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_2828133
Technological Progressions (Sample, 2001) (Experimental): http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_2844450
Centris Core Degeneration (Zone51) (Experimental) Sample, 2001): http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_2844461
Cassini-Huygens Probe Journey to Saturn (EBM 2002): http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_2828050

And a more recent one (composed in 2010):
Air Assault on Avatrion21 [Midi-Ver 2003] (Midi-Rock/Metal Style): http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_6900111
(But will be redone with actual guitars overlaying it once I'm ready for recording; so perhaps it doesn't count as electronic music?, haha. It currently sounds more like a video-game music.)

With better experience, I've recently started on an AggroTech/Industrial project (in-conjunction with my other music projects in my spare time), but they are not ready to be presented yet.

---------------

Btw Zerox, I love your compositions! Will listen to the rest once I get home, with better internet. :p Certainly worth putting in the effort to improve and perfect their production quality.

I have downplayed my music knowledge to nothing but it isn't really the case. However, my experience with playing the piano some twenty years ago is probably what's left resided in me, which I've deemed negligible.

My lack of understanding of music genres (can't distinguish what a dubstep or drum & bass track for instance) and little exposure (listening mileage). My tracks are raw as it can be, the ideas are basically conceptualized from humming melodies in my brain and getting inspiration from elsewhere (Internet is a huge universe).

Regards.

thanks man, well I've had mixed reactions for ingride so I'm just giving a heads up. I went through every layer track every second of those , so i don't think it's disgusting for me as well hehe.

Awesome stuff here! Zerox, i seriously love your tracks man. I got my own soundcloud but im not gonna post any tracks here cos i dont think i have a purely electronic track haha

trance-core band, may disgust some. heh. but ya a few of the tracks are quite electronic-ish

Hey, found you guys over at ReverbNation sometime back. Although I typically don't listen to the majority of the "post-hardcore" bands out there (most of them tend to sound boring to me personally), I think your materials are really good; production, composition, vocals and overall execution. :) Keep it up!
