Hi there all asipiring musicians,
I teach ELECTRIC GUITAR from beginner Onwards. Lessons are conducted at my house at hillview (near Bukit Batok), with lesson materials and guitar and amplifier and other music tools available for use.
Lesson fee is as such:
Individual: $25 / hr , $35 / 1.5hr
Pair (group): $40 / 1.5 hr (so is $20 per person yeah )
Lesson duration depends on individual learning curve and preference. Some people find an hour too short . If you have the time and passion, lessons can be more than one time a week.
About me :
Chinese , male, currently hitting 22, persuing university studies as well.
I played the electric guitar for almost 7 yrs, and have close to 3 years of teaching experience.
Was relief teaching at a few small music schools (cant disclose) in the west as an electric guitar teacher before. Played at community events, school gigs and mini showcases. Music has been pretty much my life and i learned piano and music theory as well. I play both the piano and electric guitar, though the later is my main instrument focus / interest.
My Lessons are designed such that student can choose to follow certain books each lesson, or pin point specific things things they wish to learn, or both. I will also print out materials to cater to each student's needs. I also teach thru songs that the student loves for a more well rounded learning experience. Thru a song, you will find that you can actually apply what you have learned and gain much more from it. Ask any professional guitarists and they will give you a similar answer to learning guitar.
I'll also cover about the equipments, how to play in a band as an electric guitarist and how to be professional as a musician. Music Theory is also a must to play proper so expect that taught too. I hope to teach people the proper way to play and how to practise right. Theory will be based around the syllabus of ABRSM and also those usefull to guitar playing.
As for my students, i alwys urge them to practise and practise. Its better to come prepared. My goal is to give you the knowledge and skills, equip you with the ability to practise, improve, explore, at home. Learning an instrument is ultimately up to your own effort and motivation. A teacher is a guide, someone to keep you motivated, and someone whom you can seek help from. Always look for motivation to improve urself. Will only take a maximum of 10 students so i can give enough focus on each student. I believe in giving my best for each student and make their money worth. Will only post when either of my students stop lesson to fill up the slots. Contact me to arrange the lesson timings.
Its going to be a relaxed environment with no stress whatsoever. No crappy equipments and stuff. You get to learn with proper good equipments
