Well guys, i am thinking of buying an electric acoustic guitar..
Been playing acoustic guitar for 4 years as hobby and i`m thinking of trying something new.. I just bought Samson G track mic and was thinking of doing some serious recording.. I like guitars that give the type of sounds that is in the videos below..

Can anyone recommend me guitars with this type of sounds..
And the budget.

YouTube - Emotionless - Good Charlotte (cover)

check out the Cort guitars available at Luther Musicworks.
the price range is around $400 to $500.
i've tried them out myself and sounds good.

to add on, they introduced me the Yamaha APX-700 which costs around $700.
but u gotta wait till the end of june for them to arrive.
the APX series are out of stock in the whole singapore.

Check out the takamines at davis guitars. =)

It will cost around 600-800$ to get a really good one though.

Btw, what are you using currently?

Cort Earth 70e. Tried it at Swee Lee yesterday, it has that kinda contemporary tone and sounded awesome plugged in. Played very nicely, too.

If you have a bigger budget, you might wanna source out for 2nd deals on Taylor 3 and 4 series.

taylor 3rd and 4th series..hmm how much would that be roughly around..
I heard from my frens taylor is good too..
thnx to all for replying me.. i hope more recommend me so i can go down and check the series.

How about Ovation guitars? Their unplugged tone leaves much to be desired, but when plugged to amps or d.i. to speakers, they sound gorgeous.

You'll spend more time taking care of it than playing it. My advice is to get mid range acoustics like Cort, Takamine, yamaha.

cort

solid top corts are the way to go!
but of course, dont buy on brand alone- get out there and play all the aforementioned brands. your hands and your ears will guide you.:-D
good luck!

Cort, Yamaha, and Takamine have great workmanship for the price, so i would recommend these brands.

you can head down to Davis Guitar at Peninsula Plaza B1 to try out the Takamines there. :)
