I decided to update my eight string with new contours and neck profile so I went ahead:

Did a linseed alkyd finish on this, was really rough as it's a personal guitar and I never really bothered with finishing just needed something that is easy to clean. Soft finishes get scratched so easily, but I love the bare wood look.
This contour style is what I used for my previous neckthru 6 string, and it works perfectly here.
Abalone side dots.
Simplified the electronics to a 3 way blade switch with 2 humbuckers, neck, bridge and parallel together.
