Effects Padels - Electric Guitar to sound like Acoustic

Out of convenience, in the chorus or bridge, is it possible to make an electric guitar (say a Fender) to sound like an Acoustic Guitar (maybe an Ovation)? Or vice versa?

I know this is a weird question but in theory it should be possible, right? So is there any such product? The application is more for live gigs with limited musician and/or instruments.

some use piezos, but i use the cheaper alternative. the boss ac3. hard to get a real nice sound, because u need the string guage to be thick, the wood also depends, pickups too.

but i get the closest i can get with my strat in mid pickup, with some treble and bass boost.

just go to ebenex or post on the soft forum stating that u wanna buy a acoustic stimulator effects pedal.

u could use a piezo too but it needs to be installed in ur guitar.

example of acoustic stimulator? one simple one will be the BOSS one. everyone knows BOSS *winks*

as far as i know only boss has acoustic simulator. i have not come across boutique pedals of such. u can try the behringer copycat for budget.

or u can get a line6 variax. very convincing modelling tones.

yes. The best sounding will be installing the piezo pickup. Just be sure to play through an accoustic amp when using the piezo for convincing tones. Best results with mahogany guitars.

Boss AC-2 will do..this pedal definately sounds better than AC-3..

i used to hunt for those too, but i tried afew pedals and mfx, its just not convincing enuff, its best if you try those before you purchase it or u might ended up disappointed. anyway the boss website for the pedals sound samples arent really the same when i tried out in real life, could be just me. i havent tried piezo method so i cant say anithing, but i tried line6 variax300, not very convincing as well but pretty nice sound i must say

Well, as the rest have stated, an acoustic simulator or piezo.

the boss acoustic simulator.. well, it does what the name says, it simulates. to me, the sound just sounds so fake. but, it sure is nice to play around with!

i would say the Boss accoustic simulator will only give you roughly 60%-70% accoustic sounds. If u honestly want good accoustic sounds, get a real accoustic guitar. My opinion.

personally, I'd go the piezo way.. though it would cost a bit to have it installed, but piezo users here would say its a worthwhile investment.

Alot of people use parker for the very purposes that the thread starter wanted, to be able to have a gd blend both electric and accoustic sounds in the same song, via verse and chorus. Parkers come with piezos, you take away the need to have to install one.

on top of that you have the controls to blend on the pickup and piezo sounds in your song giving you options that accoustic sim pedals will not be able to afford you. so you benefit already from the tone department.

on top of all these, generally parkers are very playable guitars, gd make and the korean models are a gd buy if you can get them at a reasonable price.

this is why i suggest getting a parker instead, see it as an investment.
